We’re hotel owners and operators in Saint John, incorporated as the Saint John Hotel Association (SJHA). Since we were established in 2007, we have invested $6.6 million into tourism through the collection of the 3% Destination Marketing Fee (DMF).
In 2010, together with the City of Saint John, SJHA was a catalyst in the establishment of Discover Saint John, a public-private Destination Marketing Organization.
With the strong growth in tourism revenues, the DMF collection will top $1 million in 2019. These funds will allow for an ongoing contribution into Discover Saint John, as well as additional investments in community festivals, events, product development projects and other tourism growth related initiatives.
